No me puede gustar más esta canción, genera buena energía desde el primer momento. Es de esas cosas que necesitas compartir para que los demás puedan disfrutar como tú. Y como hoy es mi cumpleaños, me la dedico a mí misma y a todos a los que tengáis problemas y no os dejen seguir adelante.

Whitney, we will always love you!
It's been a season of losing great voices and artists. The only good thing is that they will always be alive in their music and in our memories. If this video made me feel very nostalgic before (I had a very happy childhood in the 80s), now is doubly nostalgic. Farewell, Whitney.

The Milk (and the revival of the Soul)
Antes de nada, si aún no le habéis dado al play, os reto a que de momento no miréis el vídeo, sólo escuchéis la voz y os imaginéis cómo es la persona que canta, he hecho la prueba con unas cuantas personas y todas responden lo mismo :)

First of all, if you have not yet played the video I challenge you to not look at the video, just listen to the voice and imagine how is the person singing, I've tried with a few people and answer all the same :)
Esta canción es de esas que me hace bailar desde la primera nota y aunque suene cursi, me alegra los días. Desde que me la descubrió mi chico hace unas semanas estoy pensando en postearla y para no poner sólo el vídeo y luego quedarme con ganas de decir cosas (como a veces me ha pasado), he hecho una pequeña reflexión, así que ahí va!
No es nada nuevo que de un tiempo a esta parte (sobretodo desde el 2006 con la publicación del álbum Back To Black de Amy Winehouse) el retrosoul ha tenido un revival tan fuerte, que permite que se puedan escuchar grupos con este estilo de música en emisoras que hace unos años ni se pensaba. Se suele pecar de "exprimir" al máximo algo que funciona, y termina por haber una gran lista de grupos que ni les gustaba esa música, ni saben muy bien porqué la hacen y como es normal, sus discos no son de lo mejor que puede haber en el mercado.
Sin embargo, es muy de agradecer que exista este revival, porque grupos como "The Milk", "Sallie Ford", "Kitty, Daisy & Lewis", "Al Supersonic & The Teenagers", "Eli Paperboy", por nombrar algunos, me hacen recordar a esos momentos (que muchas veces echo de menos) en los que escuchabas una canción por la radio y te emocionaba de una manera indescriptible.
Esta era 2.0 en la que vivimos actualmente, puede que ofrezca tantas posibilidades que a veces te pierdas, termines escuchando casi siempre lo mismo y no sepas muy bien qué escoger entre tanta oferta, o simplemente lo fácil que es conseguir las cosas te haga aborrecerlas, pero sólo tienes que estar atento a cuando escuches una canción y sientas una bocanada de aire fresco; a mí no me falla.
Y ahora lo que os decía al principio, ¿A que tiene voz de una súper cantante de soul negra? ¡Es una pasada!
Espero que os haya gustado el post y que estéis teniendo una buena semana sin pasar demasiado frío. Os dejo unos cuantos vídeos más de los grupos que he nombrado.

Is much appreciated this revival, because groups like "The Milk", "Sallie Ford", "Kitty, Daisy & Lewis", "Al Supersonic & The Teenagers", "Eli Paperboy" to name a few, remembers me those moments (that sometimes i miss) when you listened a song and the sensation was indescribable.
This era 2.0 in which we live may offer many possibilities that sometimes you lose in, you finish listening almost always the same and do not know quite what to choose between so much on offer, or just how easy it is to get the things you do bored about them, but only you have to be aware of when you hear a song and you feel a breath of fresh air, it never fails.
And now what I said earlier, doesn't he have a super voice of a black women soul singer? It rocked!
